What is in vitro fertilization?

In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) is a reproduction technology which assists an insemination (fertilization) outside the woman’s body. An egg cell and a sperm cell will be brought into contact in a tube for a conception can happen. The result embryo from this insemination will be grown for a few days (3–5 days) inside an incubator before it is put into the uterus.
