So that a pregnancy can happen, man’s and women’s reproduction system must be in a good and healthy condition. The couple has to have sex at the right time at the women’s menstrual cycle and the woman’s body should be able to produce hormones optimally so that the pregnancy can endure. When a man ejaculates while having sex with a woman, millions of sperms will be released into the woman’s vagina. Those sperms will move up to the uterus through the cervix. This movement is pushed by the ejaculation power and the movement of the sperms’ tail. From the uterus, the sperms will move to the fallopian tube. From the millions of sperms released at the ejaculation, only a couple of hundreds will survive along the reproduction tunnel, and only one sperm cell will inseminate the egg cell. A few days after the conception (fertilisaso), the inseminated egg (embryo) will move towards the uterus and will attach to the uterus wall (implantation). The cells that move around the embryo will release a pregnancy hormone which is called Human Chorionic Gonadotrophin (HCG). This hormone then will flow in the blood circulation and will be released in the urine which later can be seen through a pregnancy test. |
